Shockwave Therapy at Bude Physio

At Bude Physio we offer Shockwave Therapy as a treatment alongside rehabilitation as a solution for resistent upper and lower limb conditions. Shockwave can offer pain relief and activate your body's healing mechanisms in situations where the healing process has stalled or failed to repond to other treatment.

We use the highest quality EMS Swiss Dolorclast smart 20 shockwave machine at Bude Physio. This is a very high specification machine that much of the scientific evidence supporting Shockwave Therapy is based on. The machine is calibrated to treat all the conditions that shockwave therapy is appropriate for and can also be manually adjusted for increased comfort during treatment.

Shockwave Therapy is usually used alongside other rehabilitation strategies. Your Physiotherapist will conduct a thourough assesment at your first appointment to identify if shockwave is an appropriate intervention for you and advise on on management and rehabilitation exercises.
